Want to know how much energy your business can save just by turning off computers at night? Or who to talk to about reducing your waste stream? Why everyone is talking about Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs? Where to recycle toner cartridges or #5 plastics? Now you can find answers online at the new Wayne Businesses Conserve! website at http://waynebusinessesconserve.weebly.com Wayne Businesses Conserve! is a pilot program recognizing and supporting local businesses who are practicing energy conservation and is sponsored by SEEDS, Workforce Wayne, and PPL Electric Utilities.

The resource section on the site provides answers to all these questions and much more. You can find information on financing and monetary incentives for energy conservation, efficiency and renewable energy installation, as well as calculate the savings you might accrue by implementing any of these practices.

Wayne Businesses Conserve! is taking it a step further however and promoting local resources. One section of the website is devoted to “Local Partners”—organization, businesses, contractors, solar installers, energy auditors—anyone who can help fellow NEPA businesses save energy, increase their efficiency and their overall sustainability. “We want to demonstrate that there are plenty of products and jobs associated with energy conservation & renewable energy that can be filled right here in our own community. Supporting our local businesses and our local economy goes hand in hand with the SEEDS mission of promoting sustainable living in NEPA.” explains WBC intern Danielle Hoffman.

“There are a lot of businesses in Wayne County that are aware of the economic, environmental and social benefits of energy conservation,” says Hoffman. “ We want to recognize them, support them, and share their stories so that other local businesses might be inspired to explore energy conservation in their own operations.” The website features the 11 participating organizations: Turano Insurance, Rent-E-Quip, Nature’s Grace, The Himalayan Institute, The Dime Bank, The Wayne Independent, the Grace Episcopal Church, the Beach Lake Methodist Church, Gravity Ice Cream & Bowling Alley, East Shore Lodging and Highlights for Children.

When the term ‘aviator sunglasses’ is used by people, in majority of the cases, the only brand they can identify with it is Ray Ban. Flaunted by celebrities like Tom Cruise, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz etc and made popular through movies like Top Gun, Ray Ban aviators are surely the most celebrated in the aviator sunglasses category.
